Fishing Basics

We will talk about different aspects of fishing. Starting with basics such as picking a rod and reel, tying knots, lure selection, live bait selection, casting styles, identifying different types of fish, proper catching and release techniques. Must have a valid fishing license if you are 16 to take part in and take this May Term class.

It arose in America before 1900 and was promoted by the United States Playing Card Company that copyrighted and marketed the rules in 1904. 500 is a social card game and was highly popular in the United States until around 1920. It continues to enjoy popularity in Australia, New Zealand, Quebec, and Shetland.
